A scratch built large scale model in an exquisite fine museum quality of a common late medieval (15th Century) bombard (or houfnice, howitzer) mounted on carriage with rayed wheels, a solid two parts wooden gun-carriage with a metal iron sight to elevate and aim. Also known as "Bombardella" and "Bombardella Borgogna", was "gettata in bronzo, su affusto campale, legate al ceppo con circoli di ferro" so, these artillery pieces were in bronze or in wrought iron in different calibres, ideal to shoot iron or stone projectiles to incoming enemy troops.
