Louis XV's Royal Artillerie Regiment, 1732
French bronze 24-pounder cannon on Vallière system.

A fine exhibition standard 1:20 scale brass and wood model partially based on an elaborated '60s Italian "Pocher/Rivarossi" vintage model gun from Turin. With realistic plastic spoked wheels, with rims & axel and a smooth, nicely and accurately detailed gun barrel. Scratchbuilt scale water bucket, sponge & rammer heads complete the system. The overall model is 24 cm in lenght. It's finely set in a black matt based showcase. The inscription in the barrell breech shows the name of the swiss manufacturer, Jean Maritz I (1680 - 1743),  the first to bore out the Model 1732 system equipments. These standardized pieces became known as the “Vallière System”.
